Winants Hall
fter years of lobbying against the anti-dormitory prejudices of the nineteenth-century college authorities (finance was also a problem), the students finally got their first real dorm in 1890, Winants Hall. Architecturally, it's an eclectic neoclassical building. For twenty-five years, the students were very sentimental about the building, the first one that really belonged to them.

At the end of the campus, stately and tall,
Rises the structure of fair Winants Hall
