A panel discussion and a reception in honor of the inauguration of Richard L. McCormick, the 19th president of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Rutgers–Newark. The events are open to the university community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
President McCormick will participate in the panel discussion "Urban Research Universities and the Future of Metropolitan America," to be held in the Baker Trial Courtroom at the Center for Law and Justice, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The other panelists are:
